How to get there
The Country Resort Le Sodole is located in the center of Tuscany, along the FI-PI-LI (Florence-Pisa-Livorno) highway, about 30 km from Pisa and 50 km from Florence. The recommended exit is “Pontedera”, a city known for being the birthplace of the legendary Vespa Piaggio, to which a museum is now dedicated.
The area, characterised by gentle hills covered with vineyards and woods, is ideal for those who want to easily reach the other art cities of Tuscany, such as Lucca, Volterra, San Miniato, Siena and San Gimignano. The Tyrrhenian coast can finally be reached in a short time (40 minutes by car for Viareggio – Forte dei Marmi, one hour for Bibbona and Donoratico) while in Piombino (an hour and a half’s drive) you can embark for the fascinating Island of Elba (one hour by ferry).
Exit at Pontedera from the FI-PI-LI and take the second exit at the roundabout towards Montecastello. After about a kilometer and a half, turn right onto Via de Le Sodole.
On the Pisa-Florence train line, get off at Pontedera station and take a taxi (10 min.) to Le Sodole
Pisa airport is approximately 20 km from the resort, while Florence airport is 45 km away.
